About Pet Heaven

Recently had to have my border terrier Tilly put to sleep 🥲 Pet heaven made this difficult time run so smoothly, I can't thank them enough, the little keepsakes are a lovely touch.

Second time I've used pet heaven and I am so glad I did as I could never use a vets again to arrange dogs cremation.

Unfortunately vets give pets to crematorium and they can be left for days before they get to cremating our pets. Forbes Robertson treats ourselves and our pets with the utmost respect and if it's out of hours he opens the premises to receive our pet. He has our pets ashes to us that day or next and never leaves pets for days (unlike others).

We arranged to collect ashes next day and they were presented in a lovely bag. We received a lovely phone frame with some of Lilly's hair and print of her paw and forget me not seed to grow. We scattered Lilly's ashes at home along with ashes and every time flowers grow a little bit of Lilly is in them. Ashes were in a lovely container and nice bottle of wine and a small plaque with her name on it.

Unfortunately when our beloved pets pass away we want to give them the best send off we can and pets heaven is who I would recommend every time.

Unfortunately we had to put our 14yr old Akita to sleep on Sunday. The owner Forbes opened up especially to give our dog the most personal send off imaginable. At a time that's so hard it brings comfort knowing your pet is in the hands of someone so caring and compassionate. Everything was so personal, not only did we receive a nose print and a paw print but we had our dog back home where she belongs on the same day!

We already heard great things about pets heaven however after my personal experience I honestly could not recommend this place enough.

Highly recommend Pet Heaven to anyone who has the heartbreaking loss of a beloved pet. Our beautiful little cat unfortunately passed away suddenly on Sunday and we couldn't bring ourselves to bury him so we contacted Forbes who opened up his doors even though he was closed and took our beloved boy in and he was compassionate, caring and understanding.

We got to spend a little bit of time in the quiet room with him before leaving him there for the cremation. Which for any pet parent is hard to do, but I felt he would be looked after there and it was so peaceful. Forbes went ahead and cremated him that night for us which meant him working late but that wasn't a problem for him.

We picked him up first thing the next morning. Forbes met us with a remembrance bag with his little ashes inside along with a framed paw print of our boy and a cutting of his fur, along with a packet of forget me not seeds to plant and a bottle of wine to toast his memory. Such a nice touch and these made a really hard time for us that little bit easier. Our beloved boy is now back home with us where he belongs.

If you're ever in the unfortunate position to lose your beloved pet and want that comfort then I absolutely recommend Forbes and his business to anyone.

Our handsome scruffy boy Mylo was taken from us suddenly and way too soon.

We contacted Forbes at Pet Heaven who was professional and compassionate. Mylo was collected from the vets in the morning and he was back home with us by lunch time.
The wee touches by Forbes were very thoughtful and kind, it made the process of losing your family pet that wee bit easier.

Our baby boy Baxter had passed at 7:20 1/6/24 and pet heaven was here almost straight after, through the whole process I knew he was in good hands. We got him back so we could bring him home on 2/6/24. I felt so relieved that he wouldnt be away for too long. i was also given a lovely set of his paw prints and seeds for when we put him to rest in the garden.

We want to say a massive thank you for making our dogs final journey so special.

On such a hard day. Forbes made it easier with his kind and gentle manner. Being able to have the cremation done and receiving the ashes back on the same day was important. Having the keepsakes made of her paw and a lock of fur was a lovely touch and something I will treasure. Thank you.

My previous experience with collecting the ashes of a late pet was very unceremonious. I had walked in, was given the ashes, and I left with barely a word spoken. More like a transaction than a goodbye.

With Pet Heaven, it was a different experience. Our Great Dane died over the weekend. The owner came in especially for us, took time to talk to us, and we came to collect the ashes the next day. Our beloved dog was not left in storage for days like our previous dog had been. We were given a bottle of wine to toast our dog goodbye and a paw print. We were sent a placard by post within a couple of business days. We couldn’t be more appreciative for the time and courtesy provided to us and will be forever grateful.

There were no “airs and graces” but a warm welcome and a genuine attempt to reassure was given. Once you overcome the elaborate surroundings you realise just how personal a service Forbes is providing. It is totally geared towards the needs of you and what you wish for your beloved pet. I felt I was leaving Rudi in safe and caring hands and later received a call to say “there was a wee boy ready to come home”. I was able to have my “Rudi” home the same day along with a gift bag containing a bottle of wine, a photo frame, a tuft of his hair, a copy of his paw print and a packet of forget me not seeds. I also received through the post a beautiful gold plated name plate with paw prints, my dogs name and a wee message from him. I highly recommend Pet Heaven and thank Forbes so very much for making the ordeal of such a traumatic day more bearable.

We contacted Forbes after the sudden death of our baby Suki. He was extremely understanding and sympathetic and listened to our wishes for her and carried them out with the respect and dignity she deserved. Each request was met with enthusiasm and carried out as if it wasn’t a problem.

Would highly recommend Pet Heaven to anyone. The personal touches he gave us just made it so much easier to deal with the process. He offers individual cremations which was a must for us and she was back home with us almost the same day, which made us so greatful.

The personal service of Forbes Robertson at Pets Heaven was First Class. Having previously lost a pet and the Cremation being organised through the Vets. I unfortunately had to wait 2 weeks before I received my pets ashes back from them. Forbes did my beloved pets Cremation that day and Delivered my Cat Guichi ashes to me the next day. Forbes made this sad loss so much easier. Forbes was a very understanding of my personal loss which made this sad day so much easier.

Although I’m no stranger to losing beloved pets this is the first time I have used a pet cremation service.
Forbes sets the bar so high that I would be happy to have him arrange things for me when my time comes. His understanding and attention to detail leaves absolutely nothing to be desired and I came away feeling my pet had been as cared for by Forbes as he had been by me over the years.

There were so many unexpected special touches - thoughtful things that help make this sad time a little more bearable and I came away feeling that I had given my boy the best of everything for one last time.

I traveled some distance so his assurance that I could have the ashes back within the day was very important, not just from a practical point of view, but also that my animal would be back in my safekeeping in the shortest possible time.

I cannot thank him enough for the service I received and have absolutely no reservations about recommending Pet Heaven.

Our black lab Jura passed away on Sunday evening after her struggle with cancer.

Pets Heaven had been recommended to us from a friend so I contacted Forbes in the evening to arrange a cremation for her. Forbes answered my call and could not have been more helpful and understanding (considering this was Sunday evening).

I arranged to take Jura down early on the Monday, Forbes made us very welcome and couldn't have been more patient,and empathetic.

We had Jura back home by 4pm that day.

I rarely leave reviews but I have to say here that the empathy and care shown to us by Forbes in the cremation of Maisie our darling wee poodle was second to none.

After suffering the sudden and unexpected loss of our feisty, but much loved little Frenchie at Christmas when the vets were closed, we weren't sure what to do. Pet Heaven in Ayr came up on our internet search with excellent reviews, and the service experienced lives up to the reviews. Forbes collected him and brought his ashes back home the same day, and the framed pawprint will be a treasured memento.

Our pet ragdoll of 16 yrs passed away on a Saturday night in early January, we called Forbes on Sunday late morning and he was very accommodating, he opened up the crematorium for my wife and I to bring whiskers down. He was very considerate during to whole process and made a very difficult time bearable, we wanted an individual cremation to ensure we received the real ashes of our beloved pet.

Forbes called us later that day and we took whiskers home with us, all in all great customer service, something which is rarer and rarer in these modern times.

We took our little dog Alfie too Mr Robertson on Monday morning. This kind and considerate man could not do enough for us. The dignity and respect he showed our little Alf was outstanding whilst still being utterly professional in his manner. Myself and my wife wife cannot thank him enough.

I lost my sweet girl Athena on the 19th of November. Athena unfortunately passed away very unexpected and suddenly therefore i didn't have a plan. I was given the number to Pet Heaven so i gave Forbes a call, and within an hour of her passing away, I was in Ayr.

Pet Heaven is absolutely beautiful! As you can imagine I was absolutely distraught, but walking into pet heaven and seeing how much time went into decorating and making you feel at home, made me feel slightly more at ease.

Athena passed away at 3pm on the Sunday, and I was able to collect her 12pm on Monday. Getting her back so soon definitely made the process a little more bearable.

I truly will never be able to thank Forbes enough for the time and care he took to look after my sweet Athena. Upon picking her up there was a little gift bag which I thought was absolutely beautiful. Forbes, you made one of the worst times of my life slightly easier and I will be forever thankful for you.

After suddenly losing our 8 yr old, Old English Sheepdog Rufus in the early hours of Monday 16th October 2023, we rang Pet Heaven at 7.30am and he told us to come straight up. As we lived near Stranraer it took us 2hrs but he met us and he couldn't have been nicer.

The care and kindness he showed was incredible, he explained what kind of service we could have and then he told us that we could have Rufus ashes back in our arms later that day.

We couldn't have been happier to have our blue eyed boy back with us. We would certainly use him again.

I recently found myself in the position of needing to find a pet crematorium for my toy poodle Tilly. I rang my vets who were happy to help but Tilly would have been held there until Wednesday as it was a weekend so no collections were due.

I couldn’t do that to her so rang Pet Heaven. From start to finish Forbes could not have been more helpful.
He opened up especially for me and Tilly, offered me tea and coffee and the bathroom after a long journey. He took care of Tilly straight away so I didn’t have to make a return trip to collect her.

The care and kindness he showed was incredible. He took paw prints, and gave me some beautiful keepsakes and a bottle of wine to toast my beloved girl.

We said goodbye to our beautiful girl Zelda on 23rd October this year. She was more than just a family pet, she was our baby. We made the difficult decision to put Zelda to sleep early morning, as soon as we had an appointment we called Forbes at Pet Heaven and even early morning he answered our call. Forbes treated us with such kindness and sympathy whilst at Pet Heaven being an animal lover himself he fully understood the pain that we were going through. He gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye and assured us that we would have Zelda's ashes back by the end of the day.

When we collected Zelda's ashes we were given a bag that had two framed pawprints (having took it upon himself to make one for my Mum, Dad and brother who loved her dearly), a bottle of wine and scattered pink rose petals as Zelda loved pink.

Our baby was in such good hands with Forbes.

Our sweet little cat passed away after a long illness and we were devistated. She had been a little stray who chose us as her family and through time came to trust us and allowed us to care for her.

When the vet told us it would be nearly 2 weeks before we would get her ashes back we just couldn't believe it would be so long.

We called Pet Heaven ourselves and spoke to Forbes, who told us we could have our little baby back with us in 24 hrs. The service offered by Pet Heaven is more than first class.

Forbes gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes and by that same evening we had her back home with us where she belonged.

Why anyone would consider taking their beloved pet anywhere else at this very sad time and waiting up to 2 weeks to have them back with them, we just dont understand, especially when this first class service is here in Ayr.

Last Monday 21/08/23 our beloved girl Jacquie passed away. Jacquie was an 11year old Ruby coloured, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She was a beautiful dog and everybody who met her fell in love with her.

Upon contacting Pet Heaven, we made arrangements for Forbes to pick our baby up. As promised, and on time, he did. We had a brief discussion about what we wanted for our Jacquie & we wept as she was driven away.

As promised, next day, Forbes contacted us and informed us that Jacquie was ready to collect. We went to pick her up, where Forbes showed us the lovely premises he owns and runs. Beautiful to say the least.

Jacquie's remains were presented to us in a lovely container, along with a framed print of one of her paws. There was also a nice bottle of wine.

Pet Heaven did everything we wished for and we would definitely recommend them to everyone who loses a pet.

We would like to thank Forbes for the compassion and empathy he showed at the loss of our precious Maltese Terrier, Lola.

After a short and sudden illness we had to put her to sleep last Saturday. We are devastated and heart broken.

The normal process (offered by the vet) would have been to wait a week for her to be cremated and a further week to receive her ashes. After a conversation with Forbes, he was able to take our wee dog and perform the cremation the very next day.

The service from Forbes and Pet Heaven was exceptional and we are so grateful for the care and attention he gave to Lola. Not only that he gave us her ashes in a lovely little pink tube, a framed photo of her paw print and some cuttings of her hair which we will treasure forever.

When we lost our beloved dog KIERA it was a Friday late afternoon we expected to be told Saturday or Monday but when we phoned Forbes he took control right away and said he would wait and to bring her in to Pet Heaven right away.

As Forbes took time as an animal lover himself we felt KIERA would be looked after as we were.

We recieved KIERA'S ashes the next day which was important to us.

KIERA was a large part of our life and you helped us through a very difficult time.

I called Pet Heaven on bank holiday Monday to enquire about a cremation for my beloved Harvey who was getting put to sleep at 4pm.
The owner, Forbes, answered the phone and advised that there was no rush and that he would be there whenever I was ready to take him down (another pet crematorium advised that if I couldn’t be there before 5 I would need to wait and go the next day!).

I called when leaving the vet in Kilmarnock and Forbes was at Pet Heaven to meet us when we arrived. He spoke through the procedure and advised that he would have Harvey’s ashes ready for collection the following afternoon.

We were offered as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes in a lovely room with nice music playing. I had no issues leaving Harvey in such a beautiful room over night. As promised Forbes called at 2pm the next day to say Harvey’s ashes were ready to take home.

When my family arrived Forbes had a lovely gift bag prepared with the ashes in a beautiful scatter urn with petals on top. There were more petals in the bag along with a framed paw print and a lock of Harvey’s hair. Forbes also gave us a bottle of wine to toast Harvey’s life.

I have already recommended Pet Heaven to relatives and friends as Forbes was very professional, sensitive to our needs and is obviously dedicated to the service he provides.

This place is amazing, Forbes was such a caring person, took our pug fawnzi on the final journey with care and attention. So professional, Forbes helped us to deal with our sad sad loss that I wanted the best care for my pet that we loved so much.

When we collected fawnzi's ashes there was so many personal touches, framed ink paw print, forget me not seeds, bottle of wine to toast fawnzi when the time was right and scattered rose petals.

We as a family would like to thank Forbes for his care and compassion shown to us when we lost our two beautiful German Shepherd's. We first met Forbes when our handsome Rogue passed away suddenly in February. As soon as we contacted Forbes we were offered a service that day, we arranged to take our boy to him (our choice) we were given as much time alone to say our goodbyes as we wanted. Forbes promised to contact us as soon as his ashes were ready, which he did, and then he waited for us to collect them.

Unfortunately 31 weeks later we had to put our other beautiful boy Storm to sleep. We contacted Forbes again and took our much loved boy to him straight from the vets again we were given as much time as we wanted to say our goodbyes.

On 22nd November, I had to get my cat Buster put down at 5 pm, a month to the day my husband died.

Forbes stayed open for me to come from Troon. He was so kind and understanding and gave a fitting tribute to Buster's memory.

We hadn’t made any arrangements with Pet Heaven in advance, we called Forbes on the day we lost our precious Bernese Mountain Dog and he was so understanding of our loss and showed great compassion from start to finish.
